The 2021 NFL preseason is almost over. While few games are yet to be played out, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by Tom Brady have completed their quota of preseason games.

Losing the first two with little to no involvement of Tom Brady, the Buccaneers finally registered their first win thanks to a cameo from their QB1.

But with their opening night tie against the Dallas Cowboys now less than two weeks away, Tom Brady knows the Buccaneers must shift their focus to America’s Team.

Tom Brady focused on first big game of the season  

Talking to the media after the Buccaneers’ preseason win over the Houston Texans, Tom Brady was asked about his next game, the league’s opening tie involving his side and the Dallas Cowboys.

“I love that sooner game, that means we did something good,” Tom Brady said. “It’s good to start the season against a good team. Dallas has a lot of firepower, a lot of draft picks. They got some new things we’re gonna have to prepare for.”

While the Cowboys are a worthy opposition, Brady outlined the importance of starting the season on the right note.

“You gotta start the season the right way… Now we make final cuts. And it’s always a tough time for all the players and the coaches. But as soon as that happens the team’s gotta come together quickly and get prepared to play our first biggest game of the year. There’s a lot of big games, but the first biggest game of the year is Thursday night.”

The Buccaneers are looking to run it back in 2021. Bringing back all their Super Bowl starters, the side has kept the winning core together. Seen as underdogs last season, a season of success has now seen the Bucs emerge as the team to beat in the NFC.
