Both are extremely good QBs, but Brady leads 3-2 in terms of their wins from their previous meets. On their first meet in 2018, Brady and the Patriots won the match 43-40. They repeated their victory in the rematch of the AFC Championship game, beating the Chiefs 37-31.

The 2019 and 2020 seasons were luckier for the Chiefs with them winning against the Buccaneers in both years, 23-16 in 2019 and 27-24 in 2020. In 2021, the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl with a victory over the Chiefs.

Brady and Mahomes both started their rookie seasons as backups for their respective teams. Brady’s experience far outstrips Mahomes, with the former having played for over two decades. However, Brady’s regular-season completion percentage, average yards per game, passer rate, and yards per rushing attempt are behind Mahomes. The latter lags Brady in regular-season passing touchdowns, passing yards, and passing touchdowns in regular-season games.

Going into the match, Brady may have an upper hand because of his long experience, but it would be wrong to count out Mahomes till the very end of the match. The youngster has definitely proven himself previously against the best before and can very well do so again.
