The Bucs defensive stars such as Shaquil Barrett, Antoine Winfield Jr, Lavonte David, and Devon White, put in the performance of a lifetime in Super Bowl LV. They managed to restrict the star-studded Chiefs’ offense led by Super Bowl LIV Patrick Mahomes to just 9 points. This was the first time that the Chiefs failed to record a single touchdown in a game since Mahomes was named a starter in 2018.

Tom Brady-led Buccaneers win Super Bowl in comfortable fashion

On today’s installment of Good Morning Football, popular NFL analyst Peter Schrager had some words of praise reserved for the Buccaneers defense.

He said, “To me. I think he was a complimentary piece here. This run game, this offensive line, this defense was the show and I think it goes back to philosophies….Tom Brady, you know he was efficient 21 for 29 but he didn’t throw the ball for a million yards.”

“He only had 220 yards and three touchdowns. But they ran the ball with Uncle Lenny and they played great defense. This gives me great, great satisfaction to know that playing great defence and running the football still wins championships,” Schrager said on the show.

Todd Bowles will definitely feel satisfied by the performance of a lifetime from his defense last night. This game will definitely go down as a defensive masterclass.
