Recently, NFL analyst Pat McAfee spoke about Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady. According to the 33-year old, Brady became a relatable person once he began to lose during the golf tournament. In his words, Brady was “no longer an alien”, because when he is dominant, people could ‘hate him’.

McAfee confessed that he liked the 42-year old quarterback after Sunday’s charity game. He also believes that the whole situation forced Tom Brady to become a little more human. The NFL players are all practically millionaires, but this charity golf game offers no money.

What else did he say about Tom Brady?

In essence, everyone playing that golf game appeared to be relatable and down-to-earth. Even a legend of Tiger Woods’ calibre, who is normally larger than life for many, seemed to be very grounded to reality. To be perfectly honest, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, everyone seemed to be ‘relatable’.

Coming back to Tom Brady though, he managed to hold his own in a game completely unfamiliar to him. Being an NFL star, one would hardly expect him to perform decently in a game like golf. However, Tom Brady had an incredible chip from just off the green. The ball landed a few feet in front of him and about 40 feet from the hole.

Later on, when Brady took his fourth shot on the par-five, seventh hole, he nailed it from deep. There was even an awkward moment when he accidentally ripped his pants during the game. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers player retweeted a photo of himself picking up the ball and showing off the split in his pants. “Pants wanted in on social distancing I guess…” he jokingly wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the tournament itself was a massive success as the celebrities raised more than $20 million. All of this would soon be used for coronavirus relief efforts.
