Tom Brady is among the most celebrated quarterbacks in NFL history. In his 22 years of career, he has had unique relationships with celebrities, sports persons, and even presidents. Yes, at one point, before heading to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, former POTUS Donald Trump said Brady is the only suitable match for his daughter, Ivanka Trump. 

 In an interview with Playboy Magazine in 2004, Trump was asked about the comments he made on Brady and his daughter Ivanka Trump. It was at the height of ‘The Apprentice’ popularity. The show was garnering 20 million viewers every week. Becoming the most successful show launched by the network.

Trump, during the interview, said, “I kid Tom, but he’s a friend of mine. I think he’s a great character. I got to know him when he was a judge at a jitterbug contest I entered after the Patriots won the Super Bowl. He’s a winner, and by that, I mean every time he needs to make the pass, he makes it. You have other guys in the NFL and in life who have all the equipment but don’t make the pass. Tom’s a great guy, and he and Ivanka would make a great combination.”

Tom Brady and Donald Trump’s friendship started in 2002 after Brady had won his first Super Bowl. After the win, the two met in a Jitterbug Contest where Brady was also the judge. The two shared a very close bond, and Trump even thought of making him his son-in-law. Although he never asked or mentioned it to Brady.

In the interview, Trump also said, “My daughter has a boyfriend, and she’s happy with him, but Tom Brady would make any father-in-law proud.” Trump was a fan of Tom Brady, and even the GOAT considers the former President a dear friend. But that’s the end of it.  

In an interview in 2020, Brady talked about his relationship with Trump. The Comeback King said he would always support Trump as a friend, as he can’t undo a friendship. But for Brady, political support differs greatly from friendship. Tom Brady shared that Donald Trump had a very good way of connecting to people and would always come to congratulate him after his team won. Jokes apart, and former President’s wishes forgotten, Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump married investor Jared Kushner in the year 2009. In the same year, Brady married supermodel Gisele Bündchen and shares two children with her.
