The law of life is that the older generation, like Tom Brady, always passes their responsibilities to the next generation, like Lamar Jackson. This law is coming to pass following Tom Brady’s Instagram story mentioning Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson. The Instagram story comprises a photo of both Brady and Jackson sharing a moment on the field after a game against one another.

The message from the legendary NFL QB for the young QB was unexpected for many NFL fans. Brady wrote on the story tagging Jackson and writing ‘Your Next’. The photo in the story is from their only meeting on an NFL field from the 2019 season. The Ravens QB on that occasion got the better of Brady by defeating his Patriots 37-20 with an impressive performance.

The game saw Jackson throwing for 163 yards and one TD. He also ended up adding 61 rushing yards and two rushing TDs. But Brady’s reason for picking Jackson from a very talented pool of young QBs playing in the league is interesting. The measure of respect and admiration from Brady to Jackson raises questions about whether he was pointing at something else entirely.

The former Buccaneers WR had an interview and a series of social media posts in recent weeks. He registered his serious interest in playing for the Ravens. The Ravens QB Jackson also posted cryptic tweets showing interest in any such future team-up possibilities. But it is looking more and more unlikely to happen based on experiences with Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti.

The dream for both Jackson and Brown will, in the meantime, be a pipe dream. It is indisputable how valuable the 2020 Super Bowl champion WR and his talents can be for an NFL team. But with Brown, there is always more on the table that comes with his incredible skill set for an NFL player.
