Aaron Rodgers will always be compared to Tom Brady. With Rodgers headed to the New York Jets, fans have been hoping he gets them to the promised land. While Rodgers and his talents as a QB cannot be questioned, his commitment to the mission is still a huge question mark for many. A-Rod has his own way of doing things and even though it often disrupts the team chemistry, Rodgers has seen his fair share of success in the past.
But can he replicate similar results in New York? As the speculations around Rodgers and his ceiling with the Jets keep going strong, one NFL Insider couldn’t help but compare the four-time MVP to the undisputed NFL GOAT.

Rodgers needs to take a page out of Tom Brady’s book
The New York Jets have gone above and beyond assembling the ideal squad for Aaron Rodgers. Earlier, during a conversation with the Jets’ front office, Rodgers did brag about many of his Green Bay Packers teammates, and as expected the Jets acquired most of those pieces.
Other than the Ravens disrupting their plans of enlisting Odell Beckham Jr., the Jets had a fairly successful off-season. Despite these additions, Rodgers’ involvement with the team is a cause of concern for the New York franchise. Many believe that A-Rod needs to get in sync with the team, and Skip Bayless certainly agrees.
According to Skip, Rodgers needs to follow the blueprint set by Tom Brady and get on the same page with his wide receivers.
“I recall when Tom Brady went to Tampa it was during the pandemic. Remember what happened. Tom Brady. He’s taking Mike Evans and Chris Godwin into a public park to throw at them. The park had been quarantined in the park rangers had to go out and tell Tom Brady, you can’t do this right now because we are in the throws of the Pandemic. But that’s how far Brady was going to create reps with his new receivers and obviously,” expressed Bayless.
Additionally, Bayless believes that Rodgers needs to particularly focus on building a rapport with Garrett Wilson, and that connection would be a thorn for the rest of the league, or so Jets fans would hope.
Tandem in the making
The relationship between the Jets QB1 and WR1 is yet to turn two weeks old, but the two seem to be hitting it off the rails.
Speaking on the opportunity to play alongside Rodgers, Garrett Wilson said, “I’m really excited, I feel like we’re gonna have a chance to put some points on the board and do something special.”

Wilson’s first interaction with Rodgers came in the weight room and the WR1 could not believe the fact that he would be catching passes from the four-time MVP.
Rodgers is equally appreciative of Wilson’s abilities as earlier he revealed on the Pat McAfee show, “I threw him a pass today [Tuesday]. I just kinda turned and was like ‘wow’.”
