It was then later appealed by the league itself to the commissioner, which could have ended in a whole season’s suspension for the same. Meanwhile, as the season kicks off with the NFL Hall of Fame game, it featured two teams including the Jets and Watson’s own, the Browns. It was at the event the quarterback was seen exchanging an intimate conversation with the commissioner.

Recently, a brief video was posted on X showing Watson and Goodell exchanging a hug. They were chatting happily with big smiles on their faces, and the Pro Bowler had his bag resting on folding chairs. The crowd made it hard to hear their actual conversation, but they seemed to be laughing with each other. This interaction reportedly took place before the big game.
