It was in the Tuesday practice when the two-time Super Bowl champion, Kelce, hyper-extended his knee. This left the team in a tense situation. Additionally, the Kansas City Chiefs are set to host their prime rival, the Detroit Lions, in the season opener. After Kelce’s situation, his presence on Thursday night creates a terrible situation for Patrick Mahomes.. According to NFL analyst, the Chiefs HC Andy claimed that after his swelling got reduced, he might show up in week 1.

However, a recent tweet authored by Adam Schefter pointed out a serious issue with Kelce’s knee. The post stated that the All-Pro Bowler has interacted with his ACL as per sources, as the tweet said, “ After tests today, the Chiefs believe Travis Kelce’s ACL is intact as per source. There  is inflammation in his knee, and they will test it again Wednesday to determine his availability for Thursday night vs. the Lions.”
