The 2023 rendition of the epic event is just hours away now and the city is gearing up to host the extravaganza. The Chiefs’ QB’s wife Brittany Mahomes and the Kansas City mayor have lauded the preparations in the champion city as NFL GMs gather to hunt for the next Mahomes for their respective franchises.

The 2023 NFL draft will kick off on Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri. Now is the time for all the NFL franchises to invest in their future and hope to land the next legend of the league. Brittany is pumped for it and the city mayor is rushing in despite huge obstacles. The stage is set for the hunt to begin. 

Kansas is ready to welcome their new cohort 

Brittany Mahomes is awed by Kansas City’s preparations for the 2023 NFL draft. She reshared some pictures of the city that the Chiefs originally shared on Twitter. And her tweet oozed excitement for the grand NFL event to begin in the city she now calls home.

The city mayor Quinton Lucas was scrambling for a flight home in Denver. Unfortunately, he didn’t get his flight. But that won’t keep him away from the draft at all. In fact, he is already on his way by road. The draft is too important for the mayor to miss.

Brittany and Mayor Lucas aren’t the only people pumped up for the draft. The fans are looking forward to seeing their teams pick up stars for the future. And the franchise GMs want to land the next Patrick Mahomes and dominate the league as the Chiefs have done in the last few years.

Can the NFL unearth another Patrick Mahomes?

Patrick Mahomes has made the Chiefs unstoppable. He has led the franchise to three Super Bowl appearances and two titles in the last four years. So, everyone in the draft would love to lay their hands on another player who can help them dominate just like him.

Many franchises are in the hunt for a QB for their future. The 2023 draft class has every kind of weapon who may turn out to be the next Mahomes or even a Tom Brady.
