Twitter Remembers Why Tom Brady Does Not Mind Earning Peanuts Compared To Deshaun Watson’s $230 Million Salary

The NFL’s legendary quarterback Tom Brady is well known for his fierce competition and a reputation for bailing franchises out of salary cap problems. It seems the 7-time Super Bowl champion is at it again and will be one of the lowest-paid QBs in the entire league. While he will be having a cap hit just north of $20 million on the Buccaneers, it will be coming from his signing bonuses.
The recent deals of some of the league’s top QBs have thrown into perspective, how low Brady will be earning for his efforts in 2022. One of the standout deals of the trade market was former Texans QB Deshaun Watson moving to the Cleveland Browns franchise.

Watson will be receiving nearly $230 million in guaranteed money from his contract which has led to many fans stating Brady’s contract to be disrespectful.

But the truth of the situation is quite different as he has been concerned with winning football games. While winning will be a huge motivation, the Buccaneers will be looking at options to give him a better contract. The return of Brady has been more than effective in the organization re-signing some of their star players but remaining in competitive shape for the upcoming season.

The Buccaneers organization does possess ideas of different ways in which they could pay him more money without any effect on their salary cap. But for that to happen, Brady would have to make a long-term commitment following his brief retirement exit. It will be a tricky situation for both the player and the organization, who will have issues to address.
