His victory over the feat of foot amputation and then successfully reviving the Buffs just from the sidelines has created a frenzy on the internet. Sanders’ success with the Buffaloes is not alien to anyone and has been hailed by reputed football players. 

Among the prominent names, the highly anticipated New York Jets QB hailed Sanders for reviving the Buffs after a disappointing 2022 season. Sanders’ Buffs just have one championship to their name, which they won in 1990. But with Coach Prime’s addition to the camp, hopes are renewed for the collegiate football team. The Buffaloes are gearing up for their next matchup against the Colorado State Rams. Before the clash, the scenes are already heated up between the teams. Rams head coach, Jay Norvell took a jab at Sanders’ habit of donning a hat and glasses.

Following the subtle tiff, Rodgers hailed Sanders for his coaching prowess. He appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” and stated, “I’m a Colorado fan. I’m a fan of what Deion’s doing.” Rodgers continued, “If there’s a lot of crows pecking and a lot of people s— talking, you must be doing something right. He(Sanders) shut up the team that was in the national championship [TCU] in week one, and then somebody said something in week two and he shut [Nebraska] up, and somebody(Norvell) said something in week three, and they’re about to shut them up, too.”

The stage is set for Sanders and the team to claim a hatrick of victories. However, more than their next victory, the Buffs are longing to claim a national championship.

Colorado Buffaloes on a quest to grab a national championship

After securing two consecutive victories over TCU and Nebraska in the 2023 collegiate football season, the Buffaloes take on their next challenge against their arch-rivals the Rams. The Saturday night matchup on September 16 is where the rivals clash for their pride. However, the Buffs are in a staggering form, making them the favorites for a victory.
