A lot of active and former NFL players are starting to get on the social media bandwagon. From podcasts to talk shows to YouTube channels, not an avenue remains that NFL players haven’t touched. One such player showcasing his life off the gridiron is Miami Dolphins’ star receiver, Tyreek Hill. And his budding channel deserves (nah, demands) a revisit to one of his old videos.

Hill is known to have impressive workout routines. In fact, it was his workout, along with his speed, that impressed scouts during the West Alabama Pro day. This eventually influenced his NFL Draft pick chances since the NFL did not invite him to the combine.

In a video released in April 2022, Hill visits Muscle Beach Venice, California. And while he warms up and chats with other bodybuilders and gym-goers, he is introduced to a behemoth of a man. Going by the name ‘Mike’, he towers over Hill and his entourage. Mike’s cameo doesn’t end here, though.

California’s Muscle Beach Venice is named after the famed Muscle Beach at Santa Monica Pier. Muscle Beach (the original) is widely regarded as the focal point of the fitness craze that started in 1934 and spread across the United States. The original site at Santa Monica houses mostly gymnastic and acrobatic areas, while its counterpart in Los Angeles has weightlifting and bodybuilding as its primary setup.

Further on in the video, we see Hill bench pressing 225 lbs. He also tells the camera (and the audience) that he intends to bench press 300 lbs. Enter ‘Superman’ Mike. Mike has just shown the audience his prowess in calisthenics, and that too with the massive body he maintains.

Hill has just finished bench pressing 275, and the next thing in the video is Mike preparing to bench press 300 lbs. And unsurprisingly, he does it with ease. Although the exact number of reps is unknown, Mike does at least 13 reps. (Judging by what’s on the video.) Hill manages to pull off 2 reps on 300 lbs, and jokes about having destroyed his body in the process.

The Cheetah’s performances off the gridiron are fun to watch, but his on-field antics more than back up his other excursions. The Miami Dolphins are 3-1, topping the AFC with the Kansas City Chiefs, Hill’s old home.

And the WR has been impressive in his 4 games with the Dolphins. 31/43 for 477 yards and 2 touchdowns is a testament to a bright future. If these numbers don’t inspire faith in his potential, then the 479/708 for 6,630 yards and 67 touchdowns in 91 games for the Kansas City Chiefs ought to do the job.

Tyreek Hill and his new QB Tua Tagovailoa are getting along quite well. So much so that recently, Hill claimed that Tagovailoa was a more accurate QB than his former QB at the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes. And it looks like the performances show the walk backs the talk. Evidently, it looks like his life in Miami and on YouTube are both off to a flying start.
