With seven wins and just two losses, the Chiefs are currently placed at the top of the AFC. Patrick Mahomes, along with his beloved coach Andy Reid, looks unfazed despite losing lethal weapons like Tyreek Hill and Tyrann Mathieu from the locker room. After Week 10, the duo shared their success story of not losing hope among the fans.
Excluding the ‘loyal’ fan base of Kansas City, everyone thought of a broken offensive unit after star wideout Tyreek Hill got traded to Miami Dolphins this offseason.

Although several other prospects were still available, the Cheetah secured a special place inside the Chiefs’ locker room. His chemistry with Patrick Mahomes grew as one of the best in the league, especially after they won the Super Bowl in 2020.
The Mahomes-Hill partnership was expected to remain intact for at least a few more seasons. But a lucrative contract changed the course of every other plan. However, Patrick Mahomes believes that his team is much bigger than a single player. And the game demands collective effort, not sole dominance.
“It’s bigger than one player, it’s bigger than myself…” Mahomes said. “We understand how great Tyreek is, I think people see that now in Miami even more than they saw it here — how special of a player that he is. But in this offense, it’s about everybody,” he added.

Resonating a similar mindset, long-time head coach Andy Reid expressed the same opinion about the team’s culture and claimed that his squad works as a family. He vowed to believe in the general manager Brett Veach and his guts, who bought effective players in place of veterans like Tyrann Mathieu and Tyreek Hill.

Every time Tyreek Hill faced the reporters, he vowed to go down as one of the best athletes in league history. Previously, he had mentioned that the Chiefs’ decision to trade him gave him the motivation to perform better in 2022.

After Week 10, Hill registered for 1,148 receiving yards, and if this continues, it won’t take much to reach the iconic 2000 mark. However, he believes that there are several areas of improvement, despite being one of the best. “For me, man, obviously there are a lot of areas you can always improve at,” Hill mentioned per Bleacher Report.

“But my main goal this year is to help this team any way I can to make it to the playoffs obviously, and then we’re going to go to the Super Bowl,” he added. It will be interesting to see if he could actually win a championship for the side in his very first season.
