‘Amazing fans’, Tom Brady, addressed the fans of the Patriot Nation last week. During the honor ceremony thrown by the passionate fans during halftime at the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, the former QB was brimming with emotions while reflecting on his incredible journey dubbing himself a ‘patriot for life’.

While Brady would not have left the organization for the Buccaneers on the best of terms, the QB has always been grateful for the love and support of his passionate Patriots fans. However, the same could not be said for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who has shared a not-so-savory encounter with the Patriots fanbase. And he’s not one to mince his words.

The Cheetah ripped the Patriots fans
When the Miami Dolphins notched a 24-17 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday, Tyreek Hill found the win particularly sweet, and it came out like soothing an old wound. It was Hill’s unfiltered response to the Dolphins’ win at Gillette Stadium, the Patriots’ home turf, that truly stole the spotlight. The Cheetah didn’t hold back in expressing his feelings.
#Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill calls out #Patriots fans: “Those fans are probably some of the worst fans in the NFL, and I’m gonna stand on that. They are real nasty and some of the things they were saying, I wouldn’t say in church.”

“It felt tremendous, man,” Hill said. “Those fans are some of the worst fans in the NFL. And I’m going to stand on that; they are real nasty. Some of the things they were saying, I wouldn’t say in church. So yeah, it felt great to wave goodbye to the fans, and I’ll do it again. Bye.”

However, the WR did not hesitate to laud the performance of the franchise.“To come in here in a tough environment, to win a game like this on a Sunday night, it feels good — especially the way this team played, the way this team battled through adversity. Hill’s disappointment was directed solely at a portion of the fanbase, the roots which date back to 2018.

A bad memory for the WR
Hill faced an insulting incident involving some Patriots fans when he visited Gillette Stadium in 2018 for a Sunday night game, during his tenure at the Kansas City Chiefs. After a 75-yard touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter when Hill ran toward the end zone, some fans responded by yelling at him and displaying offensive gestures. One fan even chugged beer at the player. This person was later identified and subsequently banned from all future events at Gillette Stadium, with their information relayed to law enforcement, however, left a bad taste for Hill.
Evidently, Tyreek Hill has not let go of the bitter memory, and the recent victory over the Patriots couldn’t have felt sweeter for him.
