Pro football is one of the most violent and prone-to-injuries sports. Each year, several athletes have to forcibly wind up their season after incurring such setbacks. One such talent who is now facing the wrath of injuries is the Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. This youngster was speculated to secure the spot as the No 1 overall pick in next year’s NFL draft.

This news seems to have jinxed his career aspirations as the 21-year-old was taken back to the locker room, incurring a shoulder injury between their face-off against Arkansas on Saturday.

The game was on Young’s court till the final whistle, who left the field before half-time posting 21-0 on the scoreboard. He transferred the charge of the Offensive unit to his backup, Jalen Milroe, who led Alabama to a 49-26 win.

However, Young’s shoulder injury was the only matter of concern, and its magnitude has a good chance of him shaking his draft stock. The reigning Heisman trophy winner was seen throwing his helmet out of frustration and suffering intense pain on the sidelines. It all happened when he threw for a pass, and instantly his face started showing signs of unexpected pain.

Young awkwardly held his shoulder and fell on the right side, showing signs towards the medic team for help. The QB later jogged into the tent and was taken back to the locker room with his parents rising from their seats to accompany him.

Alabama coach heaps praise for Bryce Young and his NFL aspirations

Before leaving the field, Young completed Seven out of 13 passes for 173 yards and scored a touchdown. Although he got intercepted once, his performance on the field was top-notch.

“There’s only one Bryce Young in this country, and he’s a great player,” Nick Saban, the HC at University of Alabama said. “Jalen can do what Jalen does, and we have confidence in him. But hopefully, Bryce will be OK. But I thought the offense did a really good job of continuing to score points in a different way than when Bryce plays.” he added to his explanation.
