While the Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is missing the presence of Davante Adams, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes remains unfazed despite losing Tyreek Hill from the roster. This offseason, the Packers and the Chiefs have received plenty of newcomers. But the Mahomes-led offensive unit is benefitting more from their choice.

A few days ago, Rodgers was seen ranting at his wide receivers, especially the rookies, for their underwhelming performance, but Mahomes, post their first preseason game, seemed satisfied with their gameplay.
Although Tyreek Hill’s absence still remains a void, receivers like Justin Watson are filling in for the veteran. Moreover, tight end Jody Forston impressed the quarterback after recovering from a quad strain he incurred this offseason. While addressing the reporters after a grueling face-off against the Washington Commanders, Patrick Mahomes heaped praise for their offensive unit. “The offensive line played tremendous today,” Mahomes told reporters after the game.

“That’s the first thing I talked about when I came to the sideline after that second drive. That’s a really good defensive line, and they blocked and gave me a ton of time. I mean, if they block like that, we’re going to be a hard offense to stop.” he added to his explanation. Regardless, this year’s wide receiver room and tight ends of Kansas City look promising.

In exchange for a single weapon, Andy Reid has accumulated Byron Pringle, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and rookie Skyy Moore. Moreover, Travis Kelce is still on the roster. Along with Jody Forston, the TE depth chart becomes a formidable one.
Unlike Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers criticized his WRs
Although Kansas City reaped the benefits of their newcomers, the Packers are unable to create an impact on the offensive side. While Aaron Rodgers is at the helm, the squad becomes a focal point for the fans to criticize. The 38-year-old revealed that the rookies were repeating the same mistakes, and he was unhappy with their performance.

This has to change; otherwise, the condition will worsen once the regular season starts. To address this issue, Rodgers summoned the wideouts for a teammate and explained the gravity of this situation. “The young guys, especially young receivers, we’ve got to be way more consistent,” Rodgers said. “A lot of drops, a lot of bad route decisions, running the wrong route. We’ve got to get better in that area,” he added.
The veteran is gearing up to play in the 18th NFL season of his career. Although Rodgers has nothing left to prove, it certainly becomes a responsibility to wind up his career on a high note.
