Around three weeks ago, Jonathan Owens expressed his gratitude to the Green Bay Packers in a recent interview with the team’s official reporters. He thanked them for allowing him to start, describing it as an amazing experience. Owens expressed readiness to embark on the next chapter of his life, particularly after the departure of Aaron Rodgers from the team. Reflecting on his journey, Owens acknowledged that it had been challenging, but he credited his family and his wife, Simone Biles, for their unwavering support throughout. Owens shared how he drew inspiration from Biles as he observed her dedication and performance in training and competition, much like millions of people worldwide.

Biles, a seven-time Olympic gold medalist and widely regarded as the greatest gymnast of all time, became a significant source of motivation for Owens. He highlighted, “Just watching her and how she worked every day going into the Olympics – her focus and her drive – it just makes you want to get up and do something because your partner is doing that.” In April, Biles and Owens officially tied the knot in Houston before celebrating a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas earlier in May. Their honeymoon however was cut short because of a new NFL contract.

After their destination wedding in Mexico on April 22, the newlyweds took a short break so that Jonathan Owens, who had previously played four seasons with the Houston Texans, could sign a free-agent contract with the Green Bay Packers. This step further showcased their dedication to their respective sports and their commitment to each other. Interestingly, their marriage seemed to bring them good luck.
