The NFL fanatics witnessed one of the craziest offseasons ever. As there have been exciting trades and acquisitions, there are some persisting mysteries as well. After the Browns signed Deshaun Watson as their QB1, the destiny of Baker Mayfield has been questionable. With many NFL analysts voicing their opinion, veteran Robert Griffin III also makes his statement over the Mayfield-Browns saga.

The Cleveland Browns have been one of the most mysterious franchises this year. As they made a few unusual moves, their method of handling the Baker Mayfield situation was not well received. Moreover, while many fans believe that Baker needs to be dealt with in the future, nothing as of now has taken place.

The Baker Mayfield scenario shocks RG3

During his appearance on ESPN’s Get Up on Friday, Robert Griffin III expresses his opinion on the situation in Cleveland. RG3 mentions that he is ‘flabbergasted’ over how the Browns’ way of handling the situation in such a demeaning manner.

Adding to his Get Up phrase on Twitter, he mentions, “The Browns needed to trade Baker Mayfield before the ink dried on Deshaun Watson’s contract. Instead, they trashed Baker in the media, aided in killing his trade value, and are stuck with a QB they don’t want.

Robert Griffin III brings up an ideal viewpoint. After all, saying stuff unpleasant to a guy with whom you wish to trade reduces the advantage. Many believe that the Browns should’ve just traded for Mayfield prior to actually adding Watson. They shouldn’t have gotten into the issue because it simply disparages the quarterback.

Most NFL teams haven’t made any interest to get the QB for a starting position. If any team who has made any interest sees him as a liability. Moreover, Mayfield’s contract makes it much more challenging to trade him because as Browns have made it abundantly clear they don’t really want him anymore.

It’s unclear what might transpire among the Cleveland Browns and Baker Mayfield, but the turmoil is likely to continue for now.
