Older brother to former New York Giants QB Eli Manning, Peyton retired in 2016 after guiding the Denver Broncos to Super Bowl 50. Since then the QB has dabbled around in multiple areas. But Baseball should surely not be on that list.

Making an appearance at the 2021 MLB All-Star game, Manning interacted with the media and gave some insight about the Denver Broncos. More specifically the franchise’s trade interest in Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.

While the former QB did a good job in the booth, it’s during his time on the field that he was caught lacking.

Peyton Manning is undoubtedly a fan favorite among the Denver fans. But even his popularity wasn’t enough to keep the fans from groaning after his terrible first pitch.

At the game being held at Coors Field in Denver, Peyton Manning was accompanied by Baseball legend Tom Helton. The two were welcomed to rapturous applause as Manning stepped up to the mound to throw what was the first pitch of the 2021 MLB All-Star game.

A Baseball player during his high school days, many expected Manning to throw a hot one to get things started. But that’s far from how it panned out.

Despite having a rocket arm during his NFL days, Manning’s throw hit the dirt. It was so bad that it barely made it past the infield grass. An anticlimactic end to what was the start of an entertaining MLB All-Star game.

Like every NFL player, even Manning has had his fair share of gaffes over his career. And now his attempt at pitching a baseball is something that should be added to that particular highlight reel.
