Week 5 Monday Night Football witnessed a crazy back-and-forth between the Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Raiders DE Maxx Crosby the entire evening. In the end, it was the chiefs, who got the better of Derek Carr and Co. However, fans were curious to know how Mahomes got triggered in the middle of the game, and a recent fan edit of the shot has gone viral on social media.

The Chiefs passer often makes a cool appearance on the field, even if it happens to be a home game. However, the Raiders were successful in getting under his skin in Week 5. This made an animated Mahomes react on the sidelines, with head coach Andy Reid stopping him from doing so.

When asked to comment on his awkward and unusual display of aggression, Mahomes mentioned that he was not happy about his gameplay in the first half. There was a need to charge up playing mind games with the opponents.

When asked whether it was the mind game or anger, Mahomes said, “A little combination of both,”. He stated that the moment was necessary to fire up the team. “Fire up the team, fire up myself. I feel like I didn’t play great in the first half. And sometimes you have to kind of create your own energy. I kind of did that.”
