Apart from their recent acquisition of Carson Wentz and delivering the upset of the season, there’s not been much positivity in the Washington football camp. All is not well with the Washington Commanders

The owner of the Commanders, Dan Snyder, has been battling a sexual harassment allegation. The allegations came many years after the incident occurred. Long-term Commanders employee charged the team boss with the allegations.

Eventually, five women got after the team owner with similar accusations. Originally, the Commanders were to do an internal audit and evaluate their workplace environment. However, the NFL commissioner brought in the house oversight committee as an internal audit didn’t really make much sense to him.

As of July 2021, the team was already fined $10 million and a further investigation was to be held. Snyder has been off-limits for the Commanders in all roles too. However, the Carson Wentz trade raised quite a few eyebrows. Many sources claimed it was Snyder’s doing, which was illegal at the time. However, with a change in the system, they can expect to be let off without further probe.

A ray of hope for the Commanders

This week has been popping with good news for the Commanders. Despite missing their marquee quarterback, Carson Wentz due to injury, the Washington team delivered the biggest upset of the season. They defeated the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles and improvised to 0.500 at 5-5.

While they are looking to improvise on the field, these off-field changes and updates come in as a boost for the team and the people in charge. They will hope for no further bomb drops from the investigation and expect a smooth sale of the franchise.
