The tradition of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers pulling out his championship belt celebration in games was once a taunt against him. It happens often, superstars immortalize a celebration signature move, and then it is used against them every time an opponent gets the better of them. We just saw it in the NBA Finals when Boston’s players were flexing just like Steph Curry. But Steph Curry got them back by winning the finals series and the finals MVP.

In similar fashion, Aaron Rodgers has also gotten back whenever the opponents have used the celebration to taunt him. Check out this video where they show every time someone took out the infamous move, Rodgers made sure they remember where they got it from.

The celebration was something that Rodgers brought out after scoring rushing touchdowns against opponents. It is a less than ideal move for opponents to copy since they usually end up paying for their actions. Among the recent players to try it out was Seattle Seahawks Safety Jamal Adams after intercepting one of Rodgers’ passes.

But the game ended up being a shut-out for the Seahawks, who lost 17-0 against the Packers. During one of his 2021 appearances on the Pat McAfee Show, the reigning league MVP refers to the incident stating, “I didn’t see him do it, but there hasn’t been a lot of positive things that come from guys doing it over the years. The boys can put together some mockups for some of those things, but there hasn’t been a lot of positives that have come away from guys mocking the belt over the years.”

While doing his signature celebration, Rodgers motions his hands toward his belt. He mimics what someone might do while wearing a championship belt to declare the best in boxing and the WWE. The celebration gained mainstream attention after he brought it in, while filming commercials promoting State Farm.
