Cleveland Browns got off to a flyer against Cincinnati Bengals. In the opening few minutes, the Bengals made rapid moves up the field and came close to a touchdown. However, Browns’ cornerback Denzel Ward picked off the ball and registered a 100-yard touchdown. It effectively breaks Jonathan Taylor’s record of longest touchdown run this season.

Before we discuss the insane touchdown, let’s get to know Denzel Ward. While he is a Pro Bowl cornerback, he remains quite an obscure figure on the field. In a team with Baker Mayfield, [formerly] Odell Beckham Jr and some great running backs, Denzel Ward would get lost in the shuffle.

He played football for Ohio State University, where commentators claim he played with Joe Burrow. Burrow is the current quarterback of Cincinnati Bengals and is an early MVP candidate. During the early minutes of the Browns vs Bengals game, commentators highlighted Joe Burrow knows everything about Denzel Ward. However, things have gone in the opposite direction.

The 24-year-old is still a young prospect in the league. Hopefully, this insane touchdown gives him the impetus to grow his career.

Putting one of the best quarterbacks in the league on his backside is nothing short of impressive. When we consider the quarterback to be an MVP candidate, it only makes Denzel Ward look like a beast. Amidst the run of his life, Ward not only registered a touchdown, but sat Joe Burrow down.

It’ll be a highlight of Denzel Ward’s young career, but it’ll be the highest embarrassment for Burrow. The Cincinnati Bengals QB had a torrid game last week against New York Jets. With the Browns taking the lead, we could witness the Bengals second consecutive defeat of the season, allowing the Ravens to increase the gap.
