New York Giants Running Back Saquon Barkley had a superb outing against the Ravens. He rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown. The 25-year-old also took three catches for 12 yards as the Giants eked out a 24-20 win. It extended the Giants’ stunning show in the new season.

However, it was his deliberate slide in the game that caught the attention of the NFL world. Barkley had a lane to the end zone, but instead of going for points, he took a slide after a 6-yard gain to get the first down. It forced the Ravens to burn their final two timeouts and helped the Giants to get the win.

Earlier, Giants HC Brian Daboll said that he told the team to follow the Lamar Jackson fumble to run the clock out.
“We communicated about it after the turnover. One first down. We didn’t need any more points. We could end it by kneeling on it,” the coach said.
