LA Rams and Cincinnati Bengals’ game lived up to everyone’s expectations. Fans and celebrities head to the SoFi Stadium at Inglewood, California, to witness the much-anticipated bout; However, some athletes had to be ruled out of the game, One of them being Rams’ WR Odell Beckham Jr.

QB Matthew Stafford connected with OBJ in order to achieve the first score of Super Bowl LVI and had a joyous celebration on the turf. This gave the Rams a lead of 7-0. The athlete had a strong start, but after that, things didn’t go as planned for the athlete.

A Setback for Odell Beckham Jr.

During the second quarter of the playoff, Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a non-contact injury on the left knee when he tried running a drag route across the field and was moved out of action just before half-time. The athlete was thriving in pain when the trainers and medical staff reached for him. The injury happened on the same torn ACL, which happened in October 2020 when he was with the Cleveland Browns.

OBJ walked towards the sideline with some help, and he did not return before being officially ruled out of the game. The athlete looked very emotional after the unforeseen situation took place.

The SoFi arena was all mum when the unfortunate incident happened. Odell was the primary target of QB Stafford. In his absence, Los Angeles turned to Cooper Kupp out wide, who delivered in spades.

Beckham made his 2021-2022 a gigantic comeback season after struggling with the Cleveland Browns. The athlete was a star in the making in his initial days with the New York Giants. He struggled big time in his brief stint with the Browns before being signed by the LA Rams.

Odell Beckham Jr. resulted in being a huge addition to the team as receiver Robert Woods tore his ACL in mid-November; Beckham Jr. became the favorite target. The Rams took a slight lead by a field goal before the game went to halftime as they went on trading punts.

With the recently sustained injury in the Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals, things get more concerning for Odell Beckham Jr. as he is set to be an unrestricted free agent as soon as next month.

Around two months ago, situations were tough for the athlete as no franchises were interested to pick OBJ when he was waived off. However, the Rams took the risk, and it turned out to be very fruitful. One thing’s for sure; Many teams will lock their eyes on OBJ when he becomes a free agent.
