Aaron Donald has made himself a crafty athlete in the league. He has made an interesting case for being the best defensive athlete possible. This also involves some intense athletic training regimens and lifting work. It also involves some dangerous weapons, which include blades. It surely looks creative, but equally fatal.

Aaron Donald has now become the top-level defensive athlete who came off fresh with a Super Bowl victory. Although, he made his revelation known that he will retire after winning the Super Bowl LVI. As of now, Donald seems to enjoy life while his stay in the National Football League looks very uncertain. However, he didn’t make any retirement announcement.

Back in the year 2020, the LA Rams on YouTube premiered a video titled ‘Aaron Donald’s Workout Dungeon & Knife Training (S1, E3) | Rams Behind the Grind’. The video features Aaron Donald heading to his old stomping grounds, the University of Pittsburgh. The film features “The Dungeon,” a gym in his family home’s cellar. Furthermore, it depicts Aaron pursuing his training, but with blades.

Donald says in the video above, “Everybody sees? It’s not real. It’s fake. It’s supposed to make you react faster and your hands go faster. You can’t die with this. It just hurts when it hits you, though.”

As per CBS Sports, the routine is a portion of his Krav Maga regimen in the film above, which is a military self-defense method of combat. Due to the obvious necessity of hand utilization and rapid reflexes, it’s an excellent strategy for pass rushers. Even though it’s a fake blade, seeing one approaching your skull helps you respond faster. Al Carson, Aaron’s instructor, has modified it for sports.

Will Aaron Donald make a return with the Rams?

Aaron Donald is the top-paid core defensive tackle in the NFL, with some of the speediest wrists in the league. However, for a guy who is expected to sign a big contract deal with the Rams this summer, that’s high-stakes conditioning.

Donald appears in the ‘I AM ATHLETE‘ Podcast, where he makes his future known. He said, “It ain’t about the money, but it’s a business at the end of the day. That’s what you’ve got to see. For me, it’s about winning. I don’t want to play football if I can’t win anyway, so I feel like if I got a real opportunity to win another Super Bowl, then it makes sense to play.”

Aaron then claims it is still a business. They must take care of the business end of the equation. However, if that isn’t addressed, it could become a “that’s all it is” problem. As of now, nothing looks certain, but there are chances that something might transpire. We just have to wait and monitor.
