This season saw a major revamp inside the Packers’ locker room with key players, especially the loss of star wide receiver Davante Adams has proved expensive for the Offensive unit. Although Rodgers tried to exhibit his best with the available prospects, frequent injuries became a villain to their progress.
While speaking to the reporters ahead of the Lions game, Rogers listed several reasons behind this sloppy start. “We haven’t had our full squad. I think that’s part of it. We’ve got a lot of guys hurt. We look at our receiver room Sammy is missing time cobby’s(Randall Cobb) is now missing time, Allen’s missing time….” Rodgers said to the reporter inside the locker room.

The quarterback mentioned that the Offensive line also shattered after favorites like David Bhaktiari and Elgton Jenkins got sidelined due to the last-minute scratch.
“We’ve got certain games and certain plans that we’d like. And then you lose Cobby or you lose a nine on the first series or whatever, it changes the kind of the dynamic of the whole game. When you have an injury, it changes some of the stuff you can do. So, you know, we just haven’t really been hitting on all cylinders,” Rodgers mentioned in his explanation.

The wide receiver room was one of the most affected areas for Rodgers. All those players who returned from injuries couldn’t last long. Rookie wideout Christan Watson came back for the Bills match-up after missing the last two games only to sustain a concussion in the first quarter.

“That just sent the message to us that we’ve got to play with the guys we’ve got and win with the guys we’ve got,” Rodgers said about the trade. “I think there’s still a lot of confidence in the guys in the locker room. I do feel like we need to get healthy,” he added.
