At the end of last year, on December 31st, Green Bay Packers’ All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari tore his ACL. Ever since then, the player has been sidelined until today where he practiced. Bakhtiari on his road to return also got a reconstructive knee surgery, which is a key hurdle for a player returning from a torn ACL.

For a team that has been mired with injuries, the news of Bakhtiari’s return is a much-needed boost. Bakhtiari’s coach Matt LaFleur and teammates Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers also echoed the same sentiments in recent interviews.

David Bakhtiari returning is a ‘shot in the arm’ – Head coach Matt LaFleur

Head coach Matt LaFleur was obviously stoked with the return of the talented David Bakhtiari. According to Matt, Bakhtiari’s return is ‘a shot in the arm’ for the Packers, as he is an influential player with exceptional leadership skills.

“He prepares the right way each and every day,” LaFleur said. “He has the right message for our guys. I think he leads that room as good as anybody, and he’s a great talent. So I think it definitely gives everybody a shot in the arm.”

Meanwhile, teammates Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers were also super hyped with the news of Bakhtiari’s return. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams believed David is an influential player, as his leadership skills are sublime.

It will mean a lot. These guys (in the attacking line) have done a great job so far in his absence, but … he’s basically the captain for us'”, he said. He further added, “It will be great if he comes back in terms of leadership, (plus) it is obvious what he will bring to the field.”

Meanwhile, Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers iterated his happiness in seeing Bakhtiari back on the field in a cheeky manner. “I mean, I see Dave every time. Nice to hear him. Today he could not keep his mouth shut, which I think is normal, but it was good if he was there in a helmet”, he said.
