“We’re Cursed!”: Buffalo Bills Fans Had the Most Disrespectful Reactions to Drafting Josh Allen
Follow Us
Without a doubt, Josh Allen has established himself as a real danger to the AFC convention. With a rather strong showing in his freshman season, both the Bills and Allen are now perfectly put together. Allen joined the NFL as one of the league’s most raw yet naturally gifted quarterbacks in quite a while. However, his entry hasn’t been as fruitful as one would expect.
Back in 2018, the Buffalo Bills completed the first deal of the NFL Draft, sending the 12th overall selection and two second-round choices to Tampa Bay in order to get former Wyoming standout, Josh Allen, as the next starting quarterback. Little would they know, they receive a player with such strong potential, someone who has been expected to be the No. 1 overall draft pick by many analysts.

Several Bills Mafia members on Twitter, though, have been dissatisfied with the team’s decision to choose Allen over all the other eligible prospects, notably UCLA’s Josh Rosen.

A user expresses his dissatisfaction over the Bills club not trying to get Garoppolo. He also wishes them luck with the ‘inaccurate’ Josh.
To think, The Bills didn't even try to get Garappolo. I begged them, but they thought they knew better. Good luck with inaccurate Josh Allen. Your entire organization is an EMBARRASSMENT!

A user rather questions why aren’t we [Bills] cannot get things right?
Dammit!! NO!!! Why can we never get things right???
— George Root (@georgenroot3) April 27, 2018
A user addresses Josh as a terrible pick, saying that Josh Rosen is one step above. He also expects that the Bills’ quarterback should be out by year two.
Very bad pick! Rosen is miles above this guy. Allen will flame out of the NFL by year 2.

Why? What the hell? I have no words. I’m beyond disappointed.

However, Allen also had some fans during his debut with the Bills. A user calls one of his proudest take over the QB, and he didn’t go wrong in 2018.

Another user is joyful over his take on Josh, with a simple yet powerful hashtag to trust the process.

The Buffalo Bills led the AFC East with an 11-6-0 record, owing to QB Allen and his play-calling abilities. During his 2021 season, he passed for 4407 yards, 15 interceptions, a 63.3 pass completion rate, and 36 passing touchdowns. Above everything else, his passing skills on short and medium-range throws have clearly improved since entering the Bills organization.
Despite all the hate, Josh Allen made his statement clear: To make the Bills a winning franchise. Positive signs in a quarterback’s technique are significant since they represent the definite prospect of potential development. The Bills Mafia now absolutely adores Josh Allen. That’s not just because he dominates, has a bullet for an arm, and plays like a true veteran. It’s because everyone believes in him. Be it the fans, the roster, or GM Brandon Beane.
