Deion Sanders has taken the internet by storm post his big announcement. The NFL legend has had his name doing the rounds as he made a big move in his coaching career. The NFL Hall of Famer switched teams recently as he now will coach the University of Colorado Boulder. Coach Prime was earlier with the Jackson State Tigers. This will be a step up in his football coaching career as CU Boulder competes in the top division for college football.

As the man of many talents takes up the new job, he created quite some buzz. Golf Goddess Paige Spiranac got in on this news as well. She was a former college athlete herself and had a thing or two to say about the new situation at hand.

Deion Sanders means business

In his first press conference as the Colorado coach, Sanders let the players know he meant nothing but business. With his legacy as a player, the guys at Boulder must have definitely been pumped about his incoming. Sanders won two Superbowl rings in his career. Once with the Cowboys and once with the 49ers. Sanders has played for fourteen seasons in the NFL and 9 seasons in the MLB, so he definitely knows what it takes to progress from the college level to be a pro. That too, a pro that makes it to the hall of fame.

He let his new players know that he was bringing his luggage with him. Which meant he was getting the players he had been working with closely at his previous gig. Golfer Paige Spiranac took to social media to report this new gig. The former college athlete knows a thing or two about the college athletics dynamic. She said she loved the transparency from Sanders as this was huge for existing players on the Boulder team to understand their spots with the new coach.

However, she alluded to a personal experience that didn’t go too well. “I was a D-I athlete. After I signed my NLI, they switched head coaches, and in that moment I should have transferred immediately,” said the Golfer. She said this as she felt some coaches like some type of players, despite their talent. This is common in most sports.

Spiranac doesn’t appreciate the family bias

However, one announcement that she didn’t really appreciate was Sanders sticking out for his son. With the new assignment, Sanders also announced his son as QB1 for the Buffaloes. “What I don’t love is making your son the head quarterback? Not sure about that, but what do I know,” said Spiranac.

While there is a bias in his decision, he must have made a rational decision, wanting to prove his worth to his new employers.

Only time will tell what this means for the future of the CU Boulder Buffaloes. As it stands, they have a unit of a man in power. His conduct might make a few players transfer out of the program, but a man like Sanders could definitely attract talent of top-caliber around the United States.
