The much-anticipated bout between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg is taking shape. However, the fight is panning out differently than many would have imagined. What initially revolved around a cage boxing match challenge has now shifted its focus. The seemingly warring tech giants took it up a notch after Zuckerberg launched Threads. Pat McAfee and his colleagues engaged in a detailed discussion about the platform. Although the conversation started with Threads and its possible effect on Twitter, it quickly diverted to ‘Truth Social,’ a social media website that is the brainchild of the former president of the US, Donald Trump.

McAfee began the conversation by expressing his awe and amazement at the incredible reception that Threads received within the past 24 hours since its launch.

As the conversation delved deeper, McAfee’s co-host, Boston Conner, raised the point that these new social media platforms won’t fade away easily. He further mentioned how Trump’s social media platform had also emerged as a branch from Twitter before the advent of Threads. This piqued Pat’s curiosity, prompting him to inquire about Truth Social and its nature. Conner then stated that Truth Social was the complete opposite of Zuckerberg’s platform.

Pat expressed his appreciation for the new platform, Threads, noting that it was an excellent place for Q&A sessions, as evidenced by his own post amassing over 200 comments. McAfee and his team quickly discussed the rapid success of social media influencer and philanthropist Mr. Beast, who had amassed over a million followers within hours of joining.

Considering that it has only been a day since the app’s launch, it is difficult to determine if it will live up to the hype. Similar apps, including Truth Social, have faced significant setbacks and failures, so it remains to be seen if Threads will encounter a similar fate or potentially replace Twitter as the new hub for conversations. Only time will reveal the outcome.
