After multiple bidding tussles, The Walton-Penner Group came as the supreme. Walmart Heir Rob Walton spearheaded the group alongside his son-in-law, Greg Penner, and his daughter, Carrie Walton-Penner. The franchise also has Mellody Hobson as a minority stakeholder, and now they introduce a new face in the group.

After Mellody Hobson, the Denver Broncos ownership group welcomes a new woman in the franchise. The franchise announces the entry of Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. She joins Hobson as the only two Black women to hold a portion of an NFL franchise.

Condoleezza Rice will not manage international policy or oversee diplomatic missions. Instead, she will be a dependable consultant for one of Colorado’s most well-known athletic firms in her future position. The former secretary of state now joins a popular franchise’s ownership group. Although the deal still needs official approval. At a shareholders’ meeting, a minimum of 24 of the league’s 32 ownership groups must vote in favor to make the deal official. They will host the special meet in the summer. Moreover, the Broncos aim to settle the new ownership before the official season begins.

After winning the Denver Broncos franchise bid, the Walton-Penner Family group has begun the relevancy quest. Even though the deal has not been official, the new owner wants it to be Super Bowl-worthy. To achieve that feat, they have made some crucial steps. And one of them involves the Broncos Great, Peyton Manning.

According to ESPN, the Walton-Penner family group came in touch with QB Peyton Manning for an advisory role in the organization. The position could eventually lead to an ownership stake in the franchise. The Walmart heir could even offer him some stakes to run the franchise. Moreover, various ownership groups contacted the Hall of Famer during the bidding process. The new ownership group could also introduce new faces, and one of them could be Peyton Manning.
