The 2021 NFL Draft promises to be an exciting affair. A host of top quarterbacks are available for selection. Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence is the top attraction at the event followed by the likes of Justin Fields (Ohio State) and Zach Wilson (BYU Cougars). But there is one quarterback who has managed to attract attention in recent weeks, Alabama’s Mac Jones.

He finished the 2020 NCAA season with 4500 passing yards and 41 passing TDs against 4 interceptions. He finished as a Heisman Trophy finalist alongside eventual winner and teammate, De’Vonta Smith.

Jones is expected to get picked in the first round of the upcoming 2021 NFL draft. However, this article has more to do with his long-term girlfriend and University of Alabama alumnus, Sophie Scott.

When you’re a starter in Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide Football team, you’re bound to get attention from the girls in college. However, Mac Jones was ‘smitten’ by Sophie Scott. And behold, it was love at first sight!

Sophie studied at Kirkwood High School. Scott, like her better half, was also an athlete during her teenage years. She played soccer at Kirkwood and made a reputation as a Division I recruit. However, she suffered two subsequent ACL injuries after graduating in 2018.

Sophie is currently studying kinesiology and exercise science at the University of Alabama. She also works at the University Orthopedic Clinic.

Her dad, Shane Scott, is the Founder and CEO of EliteX 360 and Concierge Testing Solutions. Meanwhile, Sophie’s mother works as a kindergarten teacher for the Lindbergh School District.

How did Sophie meet National Championship winner Mac Jones?

Despite committing to the University of Kentucky in 2017, Jones joined the University of Alabama to study Business Communication.

He was redshirted in his freshman year. He started 14 games in 2018 before losing the starting spot to Tua Tagovailoa a year later. It was between this period that Sophie and Mac crossed paths. They’ve been together ever since.

The couple is often seen on each other’s social media stories. They make for an adorable couple. Scott was often seen at Alabama’s home and away games. She also made it to Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium for the recent CFP National Championship final.

Scott will be expected to accompany Jones to whichever place he needs to shift shop to ahead of the upcoming 2021 NFL season. We hear Boston is particularly pleasant, this time of the year!
