Recently, the former Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown grabbed plenty of headlines for all the wrong reasons. However, this time he’s in the headlines for the right reason. According to recent reports, Brown is all set to join the ownership group of The Albany Empire of the National Arena League (NAL). Notably, the WR’s father, Eddie Brown, played for the same team in the 1990s; the team was previously known as the Albany Firebirds.

Brown surprised everyone when he announced his retirement from professional football at 34. Now, he is all set to buy a football team, which obviously sent shockwaves among the NFL fans.

NFL fans react to the news of Antonio Brown possibly buying a football team

Earlier, the Twitter account MLFootball broke the news on Twitter when they announced that Brown is in contention for buying his father’s former team. Many fans on Twitter mocked the former footballer turned rapper.

Meanwhile, one fan had no clue that Antonio Brown was Eddie Brown’s son.

On the other hand, one Twitter user thinks the players will find it difficult to work with him.

One user thinks Brown should have been a part of the future Commanders’ ownership team.

Whereas one fan thinks the 34-year-old former NFL player could suit up for his new team as the owner.

Meanwhile, one fan felt Kurt Warner was the greatest NAL football player and not Eddie Brown.

Many people consider Brown’s father the greatest NAL footballer. While many others think Warner was greater than Brown. Moreover, Warner played in the NFL as well and won Super Bowl while playing for the Rams. However, fans still argue that Brown had a better NAL career than Warner.

While talking to MLFootball, Brown talked about feeling really proud about the possibility of owning his father’s former team. He said, Imagining buying your father’s team you saw him be the greatest AFL player all-time over Kurt Warner, so for me to bring the community back give opportunities, help others live their dreams, and to be a part of greatness of something bigger than me, I’m excited!

Although many did not agree with his comments, some fans congratulated Brown for this new step. Notably, Brown already transitioned from a footballer to a rapper. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to this possible new role in life.
