Aaron Rodgers is not someone who is scared to chase his dreams. From Winning the Super Bowl to being a league MVP numerous times, the quarterback has achieved everything he has set his eyes on. However, acting as an interim friend, Bill Maher advised the player to not pursue this one thing.

In 2021 Aaron Rodgers had a 10-day stint as a guest host of his favorite game-show ‘Jeopardy’. On several occasions, the quarterback has accepted his love for the show. When the chance of hosting the show presented itself to him, he could not say no. He spent nearly two weeks hosting the show after the season had concluded.
After losing the Conference Final to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Green Bay Packers star diverted his efforts and attention to the gig. At the time, it was abundantly clear that the player would have decided to be the permanent host if possible. As the player blamed scheduling issues for the failure to host the show, it did not materialize.

What Bill Maher had to say to Aaron Rodgers
The player showed up to talk to Bill Maher on his podcast ‘Club Random‘ recently. Talking about the incident and what went down, Bill Maher asked Aaron Rodgers if he really wanted to host the show. When the player confirmed his intention by saying “I was”, the famous political satirist had another befitting question. “Why the f*ck would you want to do that?”

Aaron went on to answer the question very simplistically saying, “I used to watch the show growing up, it’s very nostalgic for me.” The player added, “I used to watch [with] my grandparents, I love the show.”

Both the men remembered the time when they were on the show as contestants as well. While Maher rued his appearance on the show. He said he was not dressed appropriately according to others and did not end up performing well.

On the other side, Aaron Rodgers has been a successful contestant. In 2015, the back-to-back MVP appeared on ‘Celebrity Jeopardy’, where he defeated the likes of Kevin O’Leary from Shark Tank and astronaut Mark Kelly. He earned 50,000$ for his charity.

In the end, deciding to act as a friend out of necessity, Bill Maher told the quarterback to stop pursuing this dream.
