Tom Brady just announced his retirement from the NFL. And most of Brady’s well-wishers are satisfied after witnessing their G.O.A.T for 23 years at the peak of his prowess. However, Brady’s father recently spoke to the Boston Globe, and it looks like he thinks his son has some unfinished business.

Tom Brady Sr. wished for his son to finish his decorated career with the team he supported right from childhood: the San Francisco 49ers. And it’s not difficult to imagine the Niners’ success with their no.1 ranked defense and Tom Brady coming in to solve their quarterback problems.

Brady’s father wanted to see his son in red and gold

TB12 didn’t look like he was going to announce the end of his playing days soon. Especially after his recent outburst with Jim Gray during his podcast. Brady also set an NFL record this season with his completion on targeted attempts. Also, the 7x Super Bowl champion ranked third this season in passing yards.

However, Tom Brady Sr. understood his son’s predicament. More importantly, the quarterback’s father was impressed with the fact that his son will not get tackled in the pocket as much. But he still wished TB12 finished his career with the 49ers.

He’s taken a lot of hits over the years. A lot of sacks. A lot of knockdowns. I am thrilled that he won’t get knocked down again. We would’ve enjoyed him playing in San Francisco. But we’re much happier with his decision to do this than playing for the 49ers. I’m so proud of the guy. That’s a father talking, but I firmly believe there is no father who has been given a better son than I have,” Brady senior said to the Boston Globe.

Tom Brady has been spending his post-retirement time with his kids in Miami. And he’s proving to be quite the strict father in Gisele’s absence. Brady’s ex-wife has been busy with her fashion comeback with collaborations from Versace and Louis Vuitton already in the works.

And the former New England Patriots QB’s father loves that his grandkids will get the deserved attention from their father. “I’m really happy for Tommy from the standpoint that he’s going to be able to spend more time with his kids,” TB Sr. said.

Brady is already signed to a 10-year $375 million contract with Fox Sports as a broadcaster for their NFL desk. However, contrary to expectations, TB12 won’t be appearing in the box for this year’s Super Bowl LVII at the State Farm Arena.
