The fitness entrepreneur, Brittany Mahomes, and the Kansas City Chiefs QB, Patrick Mahomes, are expecting their second child together. In February 2021, they welcomed their first child, an adorable daughter who they named Sterling Skye Mahomes. But now that the family will make room for a new child, the dynamic between the mother and the daughter may change. Therefore, to talk about that, the 27-year-old expecting mother penned a heartfelt note to her Ster girl. 

The first child is always special to a mother. Not that a second child isn’t, but the first kid teaches a lot about motherhood and about herself to the mom. This is something almost every mother can relate to. And this is exactly what Mrs Mahomes said about her eldest child. 

On Instagram, she posted pictures of herself kissing Sterling from the baby shower she had for her son, who is yet to be born. Brittany wrote: “As we embark on the last several weeks of this baby girl being my only child, I can only think of how thankful I am to be her mama! Sterling Skye, you have taught me so much about life. Peace, patience, to be present and truly only spend your time on what matters!”

Mommy Mahomes wants her “Ster girl” to become the best elder sister to her brother. Fans congratulated her and called it heartwarming. Some said that they even shed a few tears! But it clearly shows how much Patrick Mahomes‘ wife loves her child.

To welcome the arrival of her son, Brittany Mahomes celebrated a day filled with fun and love. Randi Mahomes, her mother-in-law, shared pictures from the day. The event had enormous balloons of neutral colors and life-sized animals were part of the decoration. The mommy-to-be looked beautiful in a white tank dress that had a slit on the sides and a shimmery fabric over it. She wore her hair half-up and half-down.

Little Sterling wore beige overalls that had the words “big sister” written on them. Guests sat at two long tables since it was an intimate event. To click pictures, there was an area where animals could be their selfie buddies. It sounds like a fun place to be where everybody celebrated the arrival of a new life.
