Every time O J Simpson makes a public appearance, the NFL world subjects the former running back to a certain degree of ridicule; not taking anything he says seriously. And this new Juice’s announcement video had some pretty similar reactions on Twitter.

The former Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers athlete is at a profound loss of things to do after the NFL season ended with the Super Bowl LVII this month. But, he was recently seen in a video. In the six-minute-long video, the former NFL MVP spoke about the embarrassing state of running back contracts in the league.

OJ Simpson misses the sports season

Orenthal James Simpson is more infamously known for his involvement in the ‘OJ Simpson trial’. OJ was acquitted in the murder trial of his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, but a civil lawsuit later found him guilty. And fans still often bring up Nicole in the replies window. But that’s not what is currently bothering the 5x Pro Bowler.

This is the worst time of the year, according to Juice. The NFL just ended, baseball season hasn’t started, and we’re a good month or more away from March Madness and the NBA playoffs. And maybe OJ wasn’t making a bad point. But fans still pointed out that there is still a lot going on, like college basketball and Major League Soccer.

I’ve always thought this is the worst time of the year for a sports fan,” Juice said before adding that he’s been spending his off-season time browsing through the news and politics.

OJ also brought up the running backs of the league

Being a running back himself, the Juice understands the consequences of a small-size RB contract when coupled with a shortened career, unlike quarterbacks. And Simpson thinks the NFL should at least give the running backs as much as the wide receivers, if not the QBs.

OJ thinks league talents like Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs should “get what they deserve” in the open market free agency this summer. Jacobs led the league in rushing last year. “But he has no contract,” Juice stated.

The only exception to the otherwise low-paying RB job, according to OJ, has been Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott. However, even OJ thinks Dallas may have to get rid of Zeke because of a massive cap situation and a franchise running back available in Tony Pollard.

Some of these wide receivers should not be paid substantially more than running backs, who normally catch just as many passes. And also have to deal with running the ball and linebackers,” Simpson added before ending the video, wishing it was March. Do you think OJ is raising a fair point here for the running backs?
