One of the cutest couples in the NFL is definitely the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and his long-time love Brittany Matthews. The couple started as young friends in school in Texas. Their friendship morphed into love in 2012 when Mahomes gave Matthews a rose and a Valentine’s Day card. Both the teenage sweethearts attended different colleges. The star QB won his Super Bowl ring in 2020. Later, he surprised his sweetheart with an even better ring!

Patrick Mahomes popped the question to her controversial yet supportive girlfriend. Brittany Matthews shared an Instagram story on her official account. It looked like one of the suites inside the Arrowhead Stadium. Beautiful white roses filled the room. Along with flowers and candles, there was a huge glowing sign. It said ‘Will You Marry Me.’ And the lucky girl said yes!

On a radio show, the host asked Mahomes if proposing to his girlfriend was harder than winning the Super Bowl. He answered, “Probably proposing, I would say. You don’t think it’s going to be nerve-wracking, especially when you’ve been with someone for so long, but before you get on that knee, your heart’s racing, I promise you that.”

After his grand proposal to his soccer player girlfriend, the couple announced the news of the pregnancy. The news came a month after Patrick Matthews‘ engagement. They had a beautiful daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes, on February 20th.

Later, the pair tied the knot on March 12. It was a long-awaited ceremony following their two-year engagement in 2020. The couple married at the picturesque Maui under the palm trees. And last month they announced that the family is growing. They are expecting a baby boy.
