The latest Kansas City Chiefs recruit, who is playing his ninth season, switched sides with Bucs. Smith and Tom Brady played a couple of seasons together for Tampa Bay Buccaneers and share a mutual admiration for each other. Donovan Smith’s strategy is crisp!

Donovan Smith plays in the offensive tackle position. This implies that the 383-pounder needs to protect the team?s QB. Smith was giving protection cover to Brady while in Tampa Bay and would now offer the same to Mahomes. When asked whether there was a difference between the strategies for blocking two stalwarts, Smith denied any such comparisons.

?You?ve still go to protect the spot. Typically, we?re taught if you give them 10 or 11, or 12 yards, you should be good. If you strive for that on each and every set, you?ll be good.??

Smith tactically answered the question and stressed the importance of positioning and game awareness rather than thriving on comparisons for the offensive tackle position. Mahomes has also gracefully welcomed the OT to his side.

As the new season unfolds, Chiefs fans would be looking to add another SB trophy to their cabinet. They have a terrific squad with Mahomes and Kelce in prime form. Now, with the addition of Donovan Smith, the team?s offense looks stronger than ever.

"If at night you see your team losing or you wake up with the news of your team winning. Words will always be there sharing your emotions through thick and thin!" I've always had a strong connection with words. They've given me the passage to express my emotions from starting as a 7th grader writing poems in school to now writing articles based around leaders like Deion Sanders. My association and vocabulary with words have grown tremendously. Joining ES as an NFL and NCAA-focused writer has provided me with terrific opportunities. It has helped me understand the mindset of the GOAT Tom Brady, learn how Patrick Mahomes is writing his legacy, and watch Kirk Cousins push himself year after year. I resonate with the QBs- their aura, gameplay, and just the toughness to get hit and keep rising! Apart from writing, I love writing poetry and fine-tuning my muscles in a bid to get the perfect QB physique! - Jyot Singh Bindra, NFL author at ES.
