Bills Mafia Contemplate an Alternate Future for Cole Beasley as the Veteran Receiver And Giants ‘Mutually Part Ways’

The New York Giants have some big news about their underutilized wide receiver, Cole Beasley. Apparently, the Giants have let Beasley go from their roster as he did not contribute to the practice or any regular season games. We don’t know the actual deal, but things are not in the Giants’ favor.
Cole Beasley has had quite a career since his start with the Dallas Cowboys, and his brief time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cannot be forgotten. However, an interesting rumor, or rather a speculation, has surfaced on the internet that apparently also involves the Buffalo Bills.

Beasley had a 4-season career with the Bills and is a veteran in the sport. He started his career back in 2012 for the Dallas Cowboys. Aaron Quinn, Cover 1 co-host, recently tweeted something that caught the people’s eye. Apparently, he thinks that Beasley should return to the Bills and be the guiding light to Dalton Kincaid, training him to tackle the defense and be a better target for Josh Allen.
I wanted Cole Beasley to return and mentor Kincaid in the slot for our offense.
It's not about trying to be Cole, but learning spacing in zone, attacking the defense, and becoming a target for Allen.
Would love to have Cole back in the building if he's up for it. #BillsMafia https://t.co/Mrw7bKhLxf

This is still speculation; however, things move pretty fast in the league, and he might as well be drafted by the Bills once again. What Quinn said might come true. The Bills rank second in the AFC East, just behind the explosive Miami Dolphins. They don’t need much help in the next game as they go against Belichick’s Patriots.

Beasley’s return to the Bills could be beneficial since he knows the team well and can seamlessly continue where he left off.
The sudden departure
Cole Beasley has been on the bench for a while. Today, his $1 million upwards contract was null after he was let go from the practice squad. He joined the Giants in July and has been out because of an undisclosed injury. The Giants took this decision at a pretty odd time because most of their offense, including Daniel Jones and Andrew Thomas, will be out for a while. Letting Beasley go might have been in the pipeline for a while.

Beasley is 34. Maybe this is the reason why the Giants don’t want to take a risk for the 2023 season. It was a mutual decision between Brian Daboll’s team and Beasley that they should go their own ways. As it stands, Beasley is a free agent with over 500 catches and 34 career touchdowns.

It’s only fair to compare his numbers to someone like Tyreek Hill, who has nearly twice the amount of receiving yards than Beasley. We haven’t seen Beasley play this season, so we can’t say what 2023 should have looked like for him. But hopefully, he will find his place in the NFL soon.
