The Arizona Cardinals just beat the Cowboys by a 28-16 score, and fans are upset. The Cardinals were hosting the Cowboys at State Farm Stadium in Glendale for NFL Week 3. Following the defeat, Skip Bayless criticized the Cowboys‘ defense for struggling without star cornerback Trevon Diggs.

The criticism comes in the wake of a 30-10 win for the Cowboys against the New York Jets in their NFL Week 2 game. But the Cardinals handcuffed Dallas in week 3, which reminded Bayless of “bad-old-days Cowboys“.

Bayless has words for Cowboys’ defensive woes in Trevon Diggs’ absence

Skip Bayless has never been one to mince words, and he certainly didn’t hold back against the Cowboys’ performance last night either calling it “pathetic” and saying it’s typical of them to struggle when they lose a Pro Bowl player like Diggs. The latter had hurt his knee badly at practice on Thursday, and won’t be playing for the rest of the season. Bayless wrote: “JUST PATHETIC. JUST SO TYPICAL BAD-OLD-DAYS COWBOYS. THEY LOSE A PRO BOWL CORNER AND THEY IMMEDIATELY TURN THE CORNER BACK INTO BEING AMERICA’S TEASE.”

Though the Cowboys were playing without some significant players at Sunday Week 3 football last night for many fans, the beat-down was inexcusable. In addition to injured Trevon Diggs, Tyler Biadasz and Zack Martin Bayless were also absent, weakening the Cowboys’ defense. Bayless’ tweet received some interesting reactions from fans.
