Rich Eisen dubbed the New York Giants ‘one of the worst teams in the NFL’. This doesn’t sound far-fetched given their track record. The last loss against the Seattle Seahawks has debilitated all credibility that the Giants had to their name. The Giants have done nothing else but put-up impressive numbers, only in reverse. This is the team that made it to the playoffs in the last season, but it looks like the tables have turned now. Win or not, Daniel Jones is caught in the middle of it.

Most of the fans don’t like how the Giants are performing. ‘Like’ because ‘hate’ would be a strong word. The Giants haven’t won a single game on their home turf, which, the fans are not fond of. Despite that, Daniel Jones, the Giants’ star QB is getting a place besides Colin Kaepernick for some reason.

Rich Eisen starts off by hailing the Giants and reminding everyone of their prowess in the last season. The team went into the playoffs, and not only that, but they also won a playoff game. Eisen mentioned how the Giants were among the top 4 teams in the NFC playoffs among the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. The monologue became more clear and interesting as time progressed.

A strong reference to the time when Colin Kaepernick went on to play against the Green Bay Packers and stole the show. This is what Daniel Jones did when the Giants went on to play with the Minnesota Vikings. It’s notable how Jones didn’t miss a throw or let any other opportunities slip by. Eisen shifts his narrative to Saquon Barkley, as he also played against the Vikings that day. He bashed Barkley saying, ‘he’s worth 3 points a game,’.

Giants’ bad investments

The thing is, the Giants are hell-bent on keeping Barkley, despite this performance. What’s interesting is, as Eisen pointed out, that Barkley got a $900,000 incentive, that too after cussing on a podcast. Apparently, the Giants don’t want to get rid of Saquon Barkley despite him putting up sub-par stats this season. He has only scored just one touchdown this season. Maybe the team should pay Daniel Jones more to motivate him.

‘The New York football Giants look like one of the worst teams in football’ said Eisen as he started praising the Seahawks who flew in and defeated the Giants in a home game. He mentions that the Giants ‘essentially just held the Dallas Cowboys’ beer’, reminiscing of how the Giants lost to the Cowboys 40-0. The Giants lost all their matches with a combined score of 64-3.

This might be one of the worst moments in the history of the New York Giants. The fans might just stop showing up to the Giants games. Especially when they are losing so many home games. The NY team will be playing the Miami Dolphins next in the Hard Rock Stadium, which also looks like a lost cause at this point.
