According to Pat McAfee, the rookie from Georgia got drafted in the right place. Even though a lot happened during the draft process, the Philadelphia Eagles took in a treasure. Considering the DT’s stats this season, his performance has been top-notch. “The Philadelphia Eagles has 25 pressures already, nine more than any other rookie defensive tackle in their first five games during the Next Gen Stats Era. Just give him the Defensive Rookie of the Year,” said the Analyst.

He continued, “Now, I do believe we’re all on the same page, but I don’t think those particular stats were something we fully understood. 25 is nine more than any rookie defensive lineman’s ever had in the history of the NFL. Why has he had so much success so quickly, and how do you stop that particular guy? Is he had his best already, or is it that they get better somehow?”

Pat McAfee and other analysts went on to talk about Carter’s unbelievable achievements. One of his co-hosts even mentioned that he compared the rookie to Chris Jones. And as of now, keeping everything he did in mind, he is as good as Chris Jones. The analysts also mentioned how well the Eagles and Carter work together. All the rookie DT’s strengths are incredible!

He’s got it all, and he’s got pass rush moves- which a lot of times rookies come in, they don’t have that because they’re so used to just being able to run around guys on the edge. But once you develop moves, then you get pretty good, right? This guy’s got it all already. Unbelievable!”
