The NFL is filled with some heated news at the moment. The reportedly underwhelming performance of Zack Wilson in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs had raised disappointments among some fans. Not to mention, commentator Rodney Harrison, a former player himself, had taken the chance to criticize him while also trying to bait Chris Jones into it.
Soon after the incident, another former NFL player, Donte Whitner, followed Harrison’s step. Immensely disappointed with the Dallas Cowboys’ performance against the San Francisco 49ers, Whitner could not help but criticize them in the post-match interview. What he said was primarily aimed at their QB, Dak Prescott.

After the 42-10 Cowboys’ loss, Donte Whitner put forward his harsh fortake on the disappointing performance of the team’s quarterback. “Dak Prescott sucks, period,” he said. “They talk so much about Dak Prescott being a top-tier quarterback franchise guy. I don’t see it.” As per Whitner, Prescott is overrated and is given easy plays.

He continued, “I see them trying to cover up for what he lacks- a lot of quick throws, cutting half of the field off and giving him easy throws. Other than that, he’s not a quarterback who can drop back and really take advantage of a defense and carve it up. And today, we’ve seen it. The 49ers’ defense made him look like a tier 4 quarterback.”

When asked if the Cowboys could do better without Prescott with Cooper Rush, Whitner straight up denied. According to him, it’s the best the Cowboys have right now, and if it starts to get too bad this year, a new quarterback would be on the field. The QB he mentioned was Trey Lance, who will supposedly replace Dak Prescott.
“Dak is the best they have, but that’s not good enough,” he said. The interview went on to ask what Whitner thinks about the Cowboys as a team and their defense, which did not seem very fierce to him. The former player only needed four words to answer, “All talk, no bark.”
