The Miami Dolphins are looking to redeem their first loss of their season against the New York Giants at the HardRock Stadium. The 1-3 Giants are still finding the spark to rebound from the dire straits, as they’ve only scored 46 points in the league right now. In addition to this, they’ve also let 23 sacks happen in their games, which is the second-most in the entire league. So, the Giants could potentially be the easiest opponents of the Dolphins yet.

The Giants have missed their left tackle Andrew Thomas again, and for that reason, in the past four games they’ve tried four different formations. Of these, only one seemed to have worked for them. The game is on, but the first half doesn’t look to be much promising for the Giants. Yet another opening drive ended up in vain for the New York franchise.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones hasn’t been able to perform well for his team in the past four weeks. In the previous game against the Seattle Seahawks, Jones was sacked for a total of 11 times. In Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, De’Von Achane started strong with a 24-yard run and committed to an 8-play.

Later, the star QB Tua Tagovailoa passed to Jaylen Waddle for the two-yard touchdown. Then the extra one point was also delivered to the Dolphins by the kicker Jason Sanders, who started the game on a strong foot for them with a 7-0 lead. However, such was not the case for the Giants. Their opening drive was over in just two minutes, as Evan Neal got sacked after the one-yard pass.

This doesn’t portray a great image for the Giants, as the team is definitely suffering in the absence of their star running back, Saquon Barkley. Also, the Dolphins don’t feel pressured as the Giants are a bit handicapped without their strong offensive player.

Saquon Barkley is still dealing with the high-ankle sprain

Since the start of his career, Saquon Barkley has faced a series of injuries as a New York Giants player. He currently has an ankle injury, because of which he couldn’t participate alongside his team against the Miami Dolphins today. Although the reports suggested that Barkley is making gradual progress in his treatments, they’re still not enough to get him back on the field.

In the past seasons, he hasn’t been as active as the Giants RB, and that could be the reason behind his contract going into this season. The team didn’t go for the long tenure and agreed upon the one-year player contract with the former Penn State running back. Hopefully, in Week 6, things will look to change for Barkley.
