“He’s Not Going To Be the Catalyst”- Skip Bayless Highly Skeptical of Eagles New Signing As 5–1 Philly Look To Bounce Back
As the Philadelphia Eagles, with an impressive 5-1 record this season, look to bounce back from the setback in their game, they’ve turned their eyes to a familiar NFL face. Recently, a mid-season twist made by the Eagles made an unexpected acquisition, causing a stir among fans and analysts. Many supporters reminisce about the new player’s past accolades and moments of sheer dominance. However, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm.
Recently, the sports analyst Skip Bayless weighed in and cast doubt over the Eagles’ recent move. He questioned if the new addition, Julio Jones, will truly reignite his past magic, or are Eagles fans simply “clinging to past glory.”

While the Eagles aim to strengthen their squad for a performance that reestablishes their record, this new signing has generated mixed reactions. Julio Jones, a player who was once synonymous with dominance on the field, has been added to the Eagles’ roster. This is one of the moves that many fans hail as a trip down memory lane. However, sports analyst Skip Bayless expressed his thoughts which were not the same as fans.
He said on his show ‘Undisputed’, “I believe you and they are living in the past. I think you’re still clinging to what Julio used to be.” The wide receiver had also commented on it beforehand when he locked the deal with the Eagles. He said, “I’m here to dominate.” To this, Bayless posted on his X account and said, “I’m not sure Julio can be that guy. He’s not going to be the catalyst who changes life in Philadelphia.”

Regardless, the Eagles are still looking forward to integrating Jones into their gameplay. Only time can tell if this nostalgia-driven acquisition proves fruitful for the Eagles or if Bayless’ assumption turns out to be true. Bayless has never been afraid to share his honest thoughts, but recently even his previous co-host and friend Shannon Sharpe opened up about his reasons to leave the show.

Sharpe revealed the reason he left ‘Undisputed’
Recently, on ‘The Stephen A. Smith Show,’ Sharpe revealed why he left as the co-host of ‘Undisputed.’ He started out by saying that he thinks a lot of it is his fault. However, there were many times he felt that shots were taken against him but he let that go.
He said he should’ve said something but he didn’t at that point in time. The former football player said that it was his fault to let it get to that point. He said, “Then, I think it’s only a matter of time. Because at that moment I felt he had lost all respect for me. He had no respect for me.”
