Andy Reid has amassed numerous accolades in his journey being a coach for two renowned franchises, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. In fact, Reid is the only greatest head coach in NFL history who has managed to make an appearance in four consecutive conference championships with two different franchises. Although the head coach left the Eagles back in 2012 and joined the Chiefs in 2013, it won’t be a surprise if the Eagles still use some exclusive mantra taught by the head coach still to this day.

The strategy of Andy Reid with the 2022 NFL Draft apparently taught a lot of things to the Eagles this year. The Chiefs had an impressive advantage with their phenomenal QB Patrick Mahomes in their corner, but there were other things that came into play as well. It was their defensive lineups, who handled the team well on the other side of the ball. Also, Reid had always made sure to keep the defense strong even during his time with the Eagles. He was the one who pitched in to draft the star center Jason Kelce for the team.

This was well noted by the Eagles, and they invested in their defense coming into 2023 as well. An X user, Jamal, made this observation and listed out some names that stand strong for the Eagles’ defense. He highlighted the first-round picks, the defensive ends, Brandon Graham and Darek Barnett. Also the first pick defensive tackles, Fletcher Cox and Jordan Davis. Furthermore, joining the list, they also picked the linebacker Haason Reddick as a priority.

Moreover, they also went for 5-star defensive end, Josh Sweat and defensive tackle, Marlon Tuipulotu. His post also had mentions of first-pick five-star players, defensive tackle Jalen Carter and linebacker Nolan Smith.

Although some D-line players, like Fletcher Cox and Marlon Tuipulotu, are on the injury list in the upcoming game against the Los Angeles Rams, the Eagles can still be considered to be in a strong position defensively. So the observation stands intact, and many fans came in support of this observation and even stated that this was the result of Andy Reid’s coaching.

Even after his transfer, Andry Reid has always been a guiding light for the Eagles. During his time with the team, he offered them great learnings on how to approach the game of Football. His most known mantra that echoed the walls of the Eagles’ locker room was the three crucial things for any NFL team. He told them, “All great teams do three things: they eliminate distractions, they create their own energy, they fear nothing and attack everything.”
