The San Francisco 49ers are facing the Cleveland Browns, and looking to go six games undefeated in this season. The Niners are riding on a zero-loss streak this season, while the Browns are coming off a defeat. In the last game, their offensive lineup lacked behind and didn’t really prove to be much help to the quarterback. The Browns’ O-line gave up at least four sacks since their QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson had to dodge pockets during the breakdowns.

So, they can’t afford to make the same mistake against the 49ers, as their team’s defense is led by last year’s Defensive Player of the Year, Nick Bosa. So, the Browns might be looking to limit him by using the double-team, but the Niners also have some plans up their sleeves. They have called for reinforcements to support their defensive lineup’s main player.

Just two days before their Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys, the 49ers cut a deal with the Denver Broncos to recruit their defensive end player, Randy Gregory. So the moment he was part of the team, he had to go through a physical test, and for that reason, he couldn’t attend the Week 5 game. However, it’s changing in Week 6, as he’ll be making his debut against the Browns now.

This news was announced by the famous American sports writer, Adam Schefter. He made a post on X, declaring the first game of defensive end Randy Gregory with the Niners is going to be against the Cleveland Browns. He wrote, “Randy Gregory, acquired in a trade from Denver last week, will make his 49ers’ debut today vs. Cleveland.

Kyle Shanahan praises the abilities of Randy Gregory

After the Friday practice, Kyle Shanahan talked about how well Randy Gregory blended in with his new teammates. The coach especially emphasized how they didn’t have to put much extra work into getting him through the practice, instead it was quite a smooth road guiding him to the prescribed destination.

He explained his experience coaching the new defensive end. He said, “It was good. He fit in well, was able to get through three full practices, learning, picking up our scheme. I think some styles he’s used in the past are very similar, so I think he’ll pick it up fast, and excited to see him here on Sunday.” So this is going to be his first game ever in the Niners’ jersey.
